ANOTHER GREAT DEPRESSION?

http://z.about.com/d/history1900s/1/0/X/1/gd6.gif

Is anyone else getting as freaked out as I am about the gloom and doom of the economy? This morning I had a random thought as I was cleaning the kitchen. A year from now, will I be throwing away this leftover hot dog bun or saving it to make Thanksgiving stuffing? Another year from that....will I be recycling this newspaper or sleeping on it? Who should I vote for to ensure that we still have our jobs and our home? Will it really make a difference or is the writing on the wall? Will we still have Sister Lunch (gasp!) or will it be Sister Picnic? Do I have enough food storage to get through a crisis? If Val Southwick's home is only being listed for $898,000 then what does that make my home worth now? If the above picture were really our family, would the wheelbarrow hold Seth?

I'll say you've updated! Got me some reading to do.

We are semi-freaked about the economy. It hasn't affected Troy's job yet, or mine, but we are going gang-busters on food storage. I even started doing that crazy couponing thing, where you match the weekly ads to coupons from 6 newspapers.

Seth in the wheelbarrow - funny image. I'm nervous too. I want to quit my job but I'm too in debt and I think how stupid would that be if a year from now I would kill to get it back just to eat. I'm hoping if we go into a depression I can eat my own fat and loose weight in the deal. I don't even have a food storage. Just a storage of halloween and christmas decorations and misc piles of stupid stupid stuff. I have 2 empty drums of water. What a slacker. I keep saying I'm going to get my act together and I dont'. I'm the grasshopper whose going to knock at your door.

In the meantime it will be Sister Ramen lunch.

Natalie, you did us a lot to think about. Another Great Depression? Yes, I am now depressed. JK. Let hope that somehow the economy will fix itself and we won't have to worry about all that stuff. But at Church yesterday, the Bishop said, to get out of debt and stay out of debt. Be careful with our purchases. Things are tough and could get worse and we need to be prepared.

Lisa I am keeping my door locked! And don't you try and disguise your grasshopper self. (jusk kidding. You can have all the wheat you want while I eat the rest of my food storage. hee hee.) Just fill your water barrels and you'll be fine.
