So Hannah comes home from school and rambles without a breath:
"Griffin thinks I am hot". I got mad at him and told him that you are not supposed to be in love in first grade. Then he said it again, that I was hot. I told him I was going to tell the teacher because you are not supposed to be in love even though I used to be in love but not with Griffin. But that was in Kindergarten. And it was with Oakland because I liked to look at his eyelashes. So then today again Griffin said I was hot. I told him I was going to have to tell the teacher. So then he said "well, I meant that you look hot and sweaty and not, you know "hhhhhottttt". So then it was okay and I didn't have to tell the teacher but I think he still thinks I'm you know....that other kind of hot.

Hehe--what a little hottie...you know our big girls would be THRILLED to be hot to a cute guy.
Nat-To the best of my well-studied knowledge--a protractor is the kindly half moon without stabbing parts. AND the compass is the thing with stabbing parts that you can stick a pencil into and draw a perfect circle. I am glad to know that I am not the only clueless geometric girl in the neighborhood..hehe.
Good luck on your test tomorrow!
PS Yes-you should be studying--naughty naughty!
Wow. That is SO funny - I would love to hear her saying it.
That is hilarious! Hannah is so cute. I am sure she will love to read this when she gets a little bit older. How come it was okay to have a crush in kindergarten? :)
Apparently Griffin narrowly escaped the "tattle box" that was instigated today in the first grade since he clarified "hot" instead of "hhhhotttt".
Okay, now I know that my kids' school isn't full of complete heathens. My kids have told me of boys calling people "hot" and I was very disturbed. I love the "I liked to look at his eyelashes." So funny!
I laughed so hard! I can just picture Hannah telling that story. I am so glad she has left her foolish crushes behind in Kindergarten as she is now a more mature, studious 1st grader.
Can you ever get enough of that girl? She is hilarious. I will watch her sweetness a little more closely in Primary - maybe get a laugh!
