I thought the twins were too old to have yet another funny General Conference story... (see old posts below for past years' stories....) But it happened again!
We were fidgety during one of the morning sessions and decided to make banana bread from the old bananas that the fruit flies had discovered.....(another story to follow!). I told Hannah to wash her hands and she could help me. I told her I would wash in the kitchen and she could wash in the bathroom. Well, before I had walked the four feet to the sink she has already returned from the bathroom which is quite a ways away......"Hannah.....I said, did you really wash your hands?" She started to nod hesitantly when the speaker, I believe it was Brother Bednar, said something to the effect "ye must have clean hands"...Hannah's eyes got WIDE and she dashed into the bathroom and scrubbed up good! She was listening after all. Then, believe it or not, a few moments later, Seth came in and wanted to help. I told him to wash his hands as well. Just then, and I kid you not, Brother Bednar said again: "if ye have clean hands". Seth's eyes got really big too and he ran into the bathroom....Jim was out of town for Conference with Zach and Katie (convenient Jim!!) and when he got home he asked the twins what they learned from Conference. They both said "Daddy, the man talked to us and told us to wash our hands!" I was really cracking up by this time.

What an adorable story. And we thought the kids really weren't listening. You should submit that story to the friend. It's cute.
Oh, by the way, I added "Sugarbritches" to my blog list. She is hilarious. I miss you guys. We really need to get together soon. Call me when you are available. I am open for anytime now.
